I have been following the AWARE singapore saga, especially the EGM that happened on the May 2 at Suntec City. A big crowd of 2,000 over people turn up and a long queue that runs all the way from conference room to the ground floor.
Basically AWARE is a gender advocacy group and its website highlights the mission statement of “gender equality for all”. Accordingly to the website, their mission is to identify areas for improvement in gender equality, encourage
positive change, and support women in realising their highest potential.
AWARE is a not-for-profit non-government organisation and is funded solely by donations, grants, and member subscriptions.
